EXPERIENCES IN TRAINING

Jefferson, who was working as a volunteer in a foundation, where #BeyondTheLimits could make contact and contribute in a generous cause, was really motivated to share his time helping those children whose lifes could be better in spite of the fact that they have some disabilities.

Centro 'Crecer La Paz' which is located in Chapinero, was the foundation where #BeyondTheLimits was working.

Luisa and Dilam are other volunteers who wanted to share their experience with us. They worked in the same foundation as Jefferson did so that is a proof of the excellent training they acquired in our organization.

According to them, teaching to children with special has been one of their best experiences in the educational field. Also they believe this is more than a job, for them this is the perfect opportunity to demonstrate what a teacher is.

 

"Everything we would do, better we do it with passion" Luisa says.

"How can I explain what I feel when I am with those kids? You never gonna understand the feeling if you are not there" Dilam says.

WHAT'S OUR PROJECT ABOUT?

We are looking for people interested on learn more about those people who have special needs or some kind of disability. We want to encourage teachers to participate in this cause because it implies a good opportunity to improve the education in Colombia and promote the inclusion in the classrooms.

That is why we have designed a set of activities, discussions and conferences which are part of what we call: training. Of course, your knowledge and ideas are going to take in mind because we believe a foundation is not a group of people in charge but a whole population interested in the cause.

You may be thinking... are they interested in my money or what? Is this for free or I have to pay something? Well, as I said before we are a non-profit organization so everything comes from the bottom of our heart and your willingness to support us.

OBJECTIVES

• To encourage teachers and anybody to support the cause and understand the importance of training before experiencing it in the real context.

• To empower individuals with disabilities to realize their potential and become active members of the society.

• To create awareness and involve public opinion in accepting and helping people with disabilities.

VISION

Our organization would be recognized as one of the main sources in the inclusion field because we want to encourage teachers to work along people who are disabled. Our projects are based on the future of education in the country because every small step will result in a meaningful existence for every individual with special needs.

MISSION

Beyond The Limits is a non-profit organization in the educational field which purpose is based on increasing the inclusion of people with some disability in the classroom. Because we are a foundation for people with special needs, we are looking for volunteers, teachers or someone who cares so they can get training and be aware of the real meaning of education.

There are many teachers who wonder how to manage a situation like that in the classroom and because they never have had a training or a insight about it, they cannot do it in a real context. Our foundation takes into account activities which involve people in the fact they are the ones who need help so everyone will develop a sense of responsibility and generosity towards children who just want to be like others.
